If you somehow stumbled upon my blog, I need to warn you that I am not a witty writer nor the most distinguished. I don't have any poignant philosophies on life and certainly don't have the next hit blog. What I do have is an outlook that I share with so many other men and women. I have been a yo-yo dieter since I can remember. I have always had a difficult time maintaining the perfect weight and a harder time losing it. I will be documenting my struggles and triumphs with a diet plan I feel will be effective. It is the most dramatic diet I have ever attempted. I am hoping that writing about my day to day mind games with food will help me stay on track and get the results I have always wanted.

Calorie counting, points tracking, and journals. I have tried to beat the extra flab in all sorts of ways. I recently heard about the 17 day diet and was intrigued. It is certainly a commitment, but one of the few that I am ready for. At age 27 and 10 pounds OVER my heaviest it is time to get my weight under control- for good.

In summary this diet consists of 3 cycles. The first cycle- as many low carb vegetables and lean proteins that one can stand, 2 fruits and 2 fat free yogurts, 8 glasses of water, and 17 minutes of exercise a day.

This means cutting out my 3 favorite treats in life- carbs, diet mountain dew, and wine.

The first part of my blog will probably consist of me bitching about the desperation for that hot and creamy pasta with a smooth glass of Cabernet, as my body gets adjusted to the healthier foods in life.

Once I complete the first 17 days I will explain the second cycle. Here we go!
